It was in inside job carried out by a rouge CIA station south of Miami working with the Sicilian men-of-honor and a group of Cuban mercenaries who had just been fired from that same CIA station. But it could not and would not have been so massively covered up if it had not been sanctioned by the National Security Council. The operation was devised primarily by Allen Dulles, James J. Angleton and William Harvey. Dulles had just been fired as CIA head by Kennedy, who also ordered Harvey sacked, but instead Angelton quietly moved him out of sight to Italy to work on the assassination. There were at least five shots and four shooters. The known shooters were John Roselli, Charles Harrelson and Charles Rogers. The final kill shot taken from behind the fence was likely taken by Lucian Sarti.
